Cancer Recovery Action Network is a grassroots political advocacy organization focused on engaging the public, voters, elected officials, and the media in an effort to ensure broad legislative support and greater government funding for cancer prevention, research, and patient support.
Cancer Recovery Action Network
Cancer Recovery Action Network’s vision is to create and support a political and public policy culture that will eliminate cancer as a life-threatening illness.
Cancer Recovery Action Network’s mission is to elect and support political leaders and ballot initiatives that directly impact cancer prevention, cancer research, and cancer recovery. We seek to be the voice of cancer patients and their families in holding national, state, and local public officials accountable as well as providing meaningful benefits to those impacted by cancer.
We employ the political process in order to help define and solve the real and urgent issues surrounding cancer prevention, treatment, and survival.
We recognize and teach that cancer is much more than research and treatment. We understand that the causes of cancer are impacted by multiple factors including genetics, environmental toxins, lifestyle, and more. We bring awareness of this truth to the political process.
We insist that federal, state, and local government be held accountable for solving the problems that contribute to the ongoing crisis of cancer. We ensure adequate federal and state funding is available for cancer research, prevention, and recovery efforts.
